NAMA
National Agri-Marketing
Association is an awesome club to join! Each year,
the Penn State NAMA chapter travels to a national
competition in which projects in marketing are
showcased. There are about 20-25 students every year
who are in NAMA at Penn State. In past years, the
PSU team competed in exciting places such as
Atlanta, Kansas City, Nashville, and Dallas. And
this year students went to San Diego! It’s a great
activity to increase your knowledge and abilities in
marketing, presentation and networking with other
professionals in agribusiness. In addition to
competing, the students have fun and meet new
people.
The Penn State chapter
holds twice-monthly meetings with speakers on career
topics and also plans social events to help students
interested in agribusiness to become better
acquainted. Your involvement in NAMA can also earn
you academic credit! See NAMA advisors
Dr. Jim Beierlein
or
Dr. Jeff Hyde,
the club Web site
or the
national Web site
for more information.
Congratulations to the
2003 PSU NAMA team who made it to the Semi-Finals in
San Diego!
